Profile:

After working within the earthenware industry for more than 20 years David Grima and Brian Grima set up Mediterranean Ceramics, in 2008. Inspired by the authenticity of Maltese ceramic craftsmanship and the beauty of the mediterranean, the brothers invested heavily in order to create original works of art. Soon after the production of cultural ceramic home-ware range expanded into bespoke volcanic stone and lava products. As a reflection of the company’s interest in the beauty of natural stone, directed them to invest in the production of unique volcanic stone and lava stone products. Each material offers a unique benefit, on one hand the obvious advantage of the lava stone is the natural savage components. Whereas the design element on volcanic stone is incomparable. With a variety of tables, kitchen counters, shop counters, tiling, flooring, facades and barbecues, one will definitely find something unique at Mediterranean Ceramics. The production of such products has helped the company gain a universal advantage in the home and garden markets for bespoke high end products. Although Mediterranean Ceramics is arguably a small family run business, we were selected amongst several competing world wide companies to locally produce handmade and hand painted ceramic murals for the new villas and hotel on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. One can experience the beauty of Maltese craftsmanship and watch the artists work by visiting Mediterranean Ceramics online or at the Ta’Qali Crafts Village in Malta. We invite you to our workshop to watch our artists hand-painting customised designs on both lava and volcanic stone.
